Project Access-Collin County (PACC) is a community referral program designed to create healthcare access for uninsured residents of Collin County.
Through the generosity of Medical and Physician Volunteers, Community Clinics, and Hospital and Ancillary Partners, the PACC program coordinates necessary healthcare services for our community’s uninsured patients who struggle with the challenges of poverty and who have no access to health care.
PACC provides qualified patients with the following services:
- Access to primary care
- Access to specialty care
- Access to diagnostics and ancillary services
- Provides each patient with four generic prescriptions per month plus diabetic medications and supplies, up to $1,200 annually.
- Coordination of Prescription Assistance Programs
- Community Heath Navigation Services
The Guiding Principles that are the foundation of Project Access-Collin County include:
- Health care for the uninsured will be organized, efficient and timely.
- Physicians and Partners determine how many patients they will serve in a given time period.
- Specialty/Ancillary Care ordered for the patient will be coordinated as well.
- Coordinate charity care and spread that care as equitably as possible.
- PACC patients commit to show up on time for appointments and follow their physician’s treatment plan.
- Lead patients to become an active participant and take ownership in their own health.
- Make it easier for Physicians who are already caring for the uninsured to better manage and coordinate care.
- Project Access celebrates and recognizes the physician and health care delivery system’s generosity.
